Microwaves heat the soil to eliminate pests and help farmers manage soil diseases.

A research team led by Dr. Sunshin Jung at KERI develops a penetrative microwave heating technology of the world’s highest level, that overlaps and penetrates microwaves deep into the ground (30 cm or more) and heats the soil up to 100 deg.C
